House Rules

Arrival and Departure: Check-in is at 4:00 p.m. Check-out time is 11:00 a.m. for Whitetail View only, and 10:00 a.m. for the larger Bears Den. There can sometimes be some wiggle room for check-in/check-out in some circumstances. Feel free to request, but at times it is simply not feasible. We can accept early luggage drop off. Your access door code is usually the last four numbers of your phone number. This is deleted after you have left.

Quiet Hours: 10:00 pm to 8:00 am

Hot Tub and Yard: The hot tub and yard may be enjoyed from 6:00 am until 11:00 pm. To keep the hot tub operating optimally and clean the following rules are necessary. Please wear shoes until getting on the hot tub deck to avoid soiled feet entering the hot tub. Children 16 and under must have adult supervision while in the hot tub. Please follow the direction for the hot tub cover lift. The instructions are posted at the hot tub. Do not put the hot tub on the ground. The cover lift is very easy to use and effortlessly raises the folded cover up vertically in the air next to the tub. This creates a privacy barrier for anyone in the tub and lets others know the hot tub is in use.

Guests: An accurate number of guests who will be sleeping at the home is required upon booking. If a larger number of guests are coming to visit, please discuss this with us. Loud parties are not allowed out of respect for guests in the other vacation rental unit. Areas outside the home are shared spaces with the owners and other guests. There are no shared spaces inside the home. The shed is private access only. The garden in the backyard can be enjoyed from outside the garden fence.

Household Items: Please do not take items from the house on your adventures. For instance, towels, dishes, silverware, etc. Kayaks are available upon request and with a reservation.

Make-up wipes and old towels are provided for your use to keep white towels stain free for the next guest. Do not stain white towels and wash clothes.

Pets: We do not allow pets. We have made exceptions, but those have been rare after a thorough discussion between the guest and the homeowners.

Property Damage: You will be held responsible for any damage to the rental property caused by you or your party during your stay.

Upon Leaving: We require very little, other than cleaning food messes and any other messes. Please wash dirty dishes. There is a dishwasher in the Bears Den. Check to make sure other kitchen appliances are turned off. Leave bedding on the beds. If needed, you can deposit garbage in the bear-proof garbage can near the shed. There are directions on how to open it on the garbage service receptacle. We can help with that. The directions on the can are not user-friendly!
